Communications

All communities have been provided with telephone service through Sasktel's district office in Moose Jaw. SaskTel is a provincially owned and regulated Crown corporation that provides local and long distance voice, data, image, and text services. To have phone service installed, moved, removed, or changed, call (306) 310-7253.

Cellular service is not consistent throughout the region. It is readily available for the Town of Assiniboia and surrounding area. In January 1997, cellular service was introduced to the Gravelbourg area. In some of the extreme southern areas, cellular customers access service through towers in the United States.
