Truck Transport
Saskatchewan has 207,000 kilometers (128,630 miles) of primary and secondary roads, which gives the province the longest maintained highway and road network of any province in Canada. The highway system within the Red Coat REDA provides adequate access throughout the area. There are several main highways which pass through the region. Highway 2 is the major route running north-south through the REDA. It provides access from Port of West Poplar River through Rockglen and Assiniboia and on to Moose Jaw.
- Highways #13, #18, and #43 are the major highways which run east-west through the region.
- Highway #13 provides access through the entire region, from Hazenmore through Assiniboia and to Omega. It connects with Highway #4(west of the REDA) which runs north-south through Swift Current.
- Highway #18 serves the communities of Mankota, Rockglen and Coronach and connects to Highway #4 to the west and Highway #6 to the east.
- Highway #43 serves Gravelbourg and Mossbank and links the region to Highways #21, #4, #19, and #58.
- Highways #2, #19, #58 and #363 provide important access to Highway #1 (the Trans Canada) which serves major centres within Saskatchewan and its neighboring provinces.
- In addition, Highway #13 connects with Highway #6 which is a major north-south North American corridor.
